I'm taking it easy with my novel, now that I have crossed the 50,000 words mark.  :)  And it couldn't have happened in a better time in the novel.  I am research girl.  I LOVE to research.   My main characters and a few supporting characters have to get out of town fast.  I had it in my mind from the beginning that they'd end up on a tropical island.  I just didn't know which one.

I found the perfect place and it fits so neatly into the story that I got goose bumps as I did the research.  Ever feel like a book was in you and it just wanted out?  That's what is happening with this one.

Well, besides having a location for the story, I now have a new desitnation that I want to travel to before I die.  I want to see Scotland, go back to France, and it I am planning a trip to England once I get published.  Now, St. Lucia is on the list!  And I want to stay at Jade Mountain in the best Sun Room.

And yes, you are not seeing things.  There is a wall missing in the hotel room!

and here's another good video about St. Lucia: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6Hu0agTQvk

I'm going to print out pictures and tack them to cork board and stare at them often.

My oldest two children were having a conversation.  It went something like this (the name of the actor has been changed to protect his good name):

Son (11):  Oh, come on, there's an actor name Harry Smith and there's no news that he's died.

Daughter (13):  Well, sheesh, there's more Harry Smiths in the world that just one stupid actor.

Son:  Oh, yeah?

Daughter:  Yeah.

Son:  Name five, then.

Daughter:  Um, let's see, doofus, (holding her hand out to count them off).  Harry Smith, Harry Smith, Harry Smith, Harry Smith and uh, yeah, Harry Smith.

LOL!

And last:  My health.

I'm doing better.  I no longer sound like Rachael Rae (this according to my daughter) and I can breathe better.  I got a good nights sleep last night and I'm hoping to stay up and get some writing done tonight.  So far, the kids have had slight colds, but have not gone through the misery that their dad and I have gone through.
