Well I thought that I would have my current story finished today. I don't think that's going to happen. It was the first day of school for my kids yesterday. I have 5 kids and 3 of them are school age. They were so excited that they couldn't sleep. So the time I usually spend writing was spent with my kids.
My other problem is that I had things planned out a certain way, but one of the characters keeps imposing themselves into the story in my mind. They want back into the story and they want to cause some mischief. It will make for some fun, but it will also make the story a little longer.
I wonder if that happens to other writers? Where a story just comes alive in the mind to the point that the characters just take over and do whatever the hell they want.. Maybe that's how Joss felt when Spike became so popular with the fans that he had to continue with him.
So now I'm procrastinating. Because I'm going to have to work out the details of this character getting by people and past a locked door.
