I've spent the day cleaning, shipping and watching TV shows online.
I had a lot of catching up to do.
I watched Moonlight. There was lots of good stuff about this episode, but the one thing that stands out is: Eric Winter! He's better looking now that he's older. I saw him and thought, who is that guy? He looks so familiar. Then it just hit me. I he was fun to watch on Days of Our Lives.
Loved watching Mick enjoying being human. I really liked Josef telling him to seize the moment with Beth. I really like Beth and I really, really like Josef. Mick is okay. Loved the part with the cat.
Josef had a bunch of great lines in this latest episode, but I think my favorite was: "Oh, look. It's my two favorite humans."
Beth's best line was: "Two words. Krispe Kreme."
Amen, sister.
Mick, saying he's going to have to cut back on the hot dogs and donuts after chasing the one guy. lol.
Josef turning Mick. Great moment. Him turning so quickly, not really working for me, but every vampire book, series has it's own mythology.
I think this show has potential, that it's just barely scratching the surface with yet. This episode was pretty good. I still get the "fan fiction" feel about it though.
I'm not knocking fan fiction. It's just, we aren't getting paid to write fan fiction and we can use plot devices that wouldn't fly on TV shows or in published books. We can change things to suit us or our needs for the story. I'd like to see the writing and plot mature.
Doctor Who. I watched the one with the Ood today and I still have to watch the most recent episode. Loved this episode. The Ood story was great. Things that made me smile. The foaming soap that was supposed to look like snow. The central brain idea.
Mr. Tennant, again wows me with he magnetism, eyes, hair, acting, etc. I cannot believe that I'm getting all fangirly over another actor. This is a very rare happening for me. Once when I was in Jr. High. (Kirk Cameron), then in the last couple of years with James Marsters, and now David Tennant. *sigh*
I liked Donna from the moment I saw her on the Christmas Special. I'm liking her more and more with each episode.
Bones. I watched three episodes today to catch up. I'm not the best judge, because I don't actually watch much TV, but I think Bones is one of the best shows being produced right now in America. Cop shows, foresensic science shows, lawyer shows and the like make me yawn. BORING. But not Bones. There are so many layers to this show. The best being the tinge of sweetness and humor.
Does anyone else checkout ebaumsworld on occasion? Much of the stuff they put up as funny is...not. But they hit the jackpot with this one. I laughed so hard. It caught my attention because it's a Scottish Radio Station prank. Being that I'm attempting to write two characters with Scottish accents, I never pass up the opportunity to actually hear it. These radio hosts sound like they have a blast and I wish I could hear them in the States.
