I'm so angry I could spit. It has to be arson. I was driving down the road to pick my son up from school at 12:30 and I see this thin white puff of smoke on the hill to the north west. My first thought was, oh God I hope that's not another fire. It took only five minutes to get my son and on the way back we saw that the smoke was getting worse. Five fire engines passed us with lights and sirens. I watched their faces as they flew by. They looked so tired!

I believe the hill that is burning is in the town of Murrieta. It's not close enough to be a concern for our home. In fact our county has not been hit too hard by the fires.

I snapped two pictures from my porch. Normally at this time of day/year the sky is a beautiful blue from that view. The dark stuff is the smoke from the San Diego fires almost two hours away from here. And if the picture panned right far enough you would see the smoke from the Malibu and Orange County fires over that hill. If I turned my back from the fire in those pictures and took another picture you would see the smoke coming up from the Running Springs and Arrowhead fires. It's just awful.

UPDATE: They had the thing out in a little over an hour. My older son said his class got to watch the helicopter drop water and they could clearly see the firefighters working up there. They saved the house. So good news!
