Summary: Begins three months after the final battle in the alley in Angel, Not Fade Away. What's left of Angel's crew has moved back to The Hyperion, including a restless Spike. Someone interesting comes to LA, when Faith suggests that only Angel can help her. Many characters from both shows will make appearances. Angel, Harmony, Gunn, Illyria, Lorne, Buffy, Giles, Dawn, Angelus, Willow and others.
This chapter: The whole gang meets with Willow to discuss her plans for Angel. And Buffy and Angel find out what Willow wants them do.

Looking for a Beta Reader for a quick one shot.
I need someone who'd be willing to do a quick beta on a one shot that I wrote for the ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
nekid_spike community. It's a Bone's/Spike Crossover fic that I need to post by the 24th. It's just one chapter. I always spell check and run a grammar check before sending anything off to a beta. I just need someone to catch those little mistakes that get by me and re check for grammar errors. I welcome suggestions on how to make a sentence read better and any other con-crit you would be willing to hand out.
It has a PG rating. It doesn't have a pairing really, I guess you could say Spike/Bones. Here is the summary:
Set sometime in AtS season 5, after Spike got fleshed out and before Fred became Illyria. In an effort to get Spike out of his hair for a few days, Angel sends him on a retrieval mission to Washington D.C. Fred needs an ancient Egyptian artifact that is on display at the Jeffersonian, for one of her experiments and Spike is just the vamp for the job, since he's so good at nicking things.
I'd like to have story back by Wednesday night or earlier if possible.

A bit of "artwork" I did...LOL
So I've been playing with photoshop elements. I've made a few icons. The one with this post is my favorite Spike icon that I made yesterday.
I joined thenekid_spike yesterday and I saw a post for today being Spike's Bad Day. So I decided to go ahead and try a manip when this scene popped into my head. I'm totally twisted. So here is my first ever attempt at a manip. Spike is not in proper scale and there are lots of things wrong with it, but I still laughed when I was done.
So I thought I'd share it with you all.

but instead I'm playing around on the internet. I must be stopped! I watched this vid for the umpteenth time and laughed. Spike is sooooo cool. LOL! The song in the vid is so my type of music, Whatever:
One Step Closer & Btvs babblings
My husband convinced me to buy some novel writing software today. We will see if it's any good. It's coming from the UK, so I'm thinking it will be here in two or three weeks. I have notes scattered willy nilly all over my laptop for the series of three books I plan to write. I'm hoping the software will help me keep things straight and make the actually writing process easier. Scenes come in snipits in my mind, in no particulate order and I jot these down as fast as I can.
So while I wait, I guess I'll start writing my Spike/Buffy fan fiction. It won't be as long as my first non-spuffy story. I'm thinking seven chapters at the most. I have a plot idea and the first scene in my head. I just need to spend some time watching season five again, so I get all my facts straight. That's just such a hardship. I haven't watched season five in a long time.
Buffy episodes I can and do watch over and over are: School Hard, the second half of Becoming, Halloween and Lover's Walk and Something Blue. My favorite episode without Spike is Band Candy. When Snyder says, "Wow Summers! You drive like a spaz." Cracks me up every time. And Giles begging Buffy to hit Ethan: "You're my slayer. Go knock his teeth down his throat." I have watched all of season six and season seven over many many times. Of course I love OMWF and Tabula Rasa.
So I know what will happen. I'm going to end up watching season five and not be able to stop and will have to watch all of six and seven too.

So I was frustrated and feeling pent up with not being mobile. I remembered this song I used to listen to that would calm me down when I angry as a teen. It still works. I found the video for the song on youtube and watched it. But now All want is a Diet Coke, LOL. "It doesn't matter. I'll probably get hit by a car anyway."

I broke my big toe yesterday!
Yesterday, I was having a fun conversation on AIM with my husband. There are all kinds of ways to spice up a long term relationship. He was at work and I was doing my best to make him blush, LOL. My cat decided that I had ignored her long enough. She jumped onto my lap and knocked my laptop off. As it fell my only thought was "Not the laptop!" We have three computers, but my laptop is my fav.
It came away with no damage because my big toe broke its fall! So now I can barely walk. It's puffy and bruised. So I spent the day playing on the computer. I read some fan fiction. The type which is usually not my cup of tea. I'm looking forward to the next chapter. Its called "The Second Circle" by
ash_carpenter I spent time checking out James Marsters on youtube which is a favorite pass time for me when I'm bored. Above is one of my favorites and its good for a chuckle.

I'm home.
We were able to come back to our house this morning. The older three kids are at school and the two younger ones are playing nicely. My A/C in now working. I don't know how long it will work, but we have a few more hot days to go in this heat wave. I NEED it.
I was able to get some real work done and I spent a long time this morning in my workshop packing merchandise and printing shipping labels. I'm glad to work at home, but sometimes its hard to get motivated. Until the bills come in.
I printed out my fan fiction for my mom to read while we were out at her place trying to keep cool. She suggested the title "A Perfect Fit." I think for now I will go with that title. She loved it by the way. Of course, being my mom, she had to be nice to me. Mom is retired and she reads romance novels and some mystery novels. She can read one and half books a day. Her favorite author is Nora Roberts. I got my love of reading from her, but she doesn't write. She will watch episodes of Buffy with me when I am at her place, but she doesn't like the Angel series at all. I force her to watch it with me when season five is on, though.
I'm Done. Yah!
My internet was down for about 24 hours, so I used that time to finish my fan fiction. The last chapter turned in to two chapters so the final chapter count is nineteen. I'm glad to be done and I'm sad to. That was a lot of fun. Now its editing time. My first chapter is not back from my beta yet, but as soon as its back and fixed, I'll post it here.
I would still like to have second beta. Especially to help with all things in the Buffy and Angel verse.
My laptop battery charger is acting funny. I may have to replace it before I can work on reading and fixing mistakes on those.

I didn't think I could get it done today. I was having so much fun writing Angelus, that the words just kept coming.
There will only be one more Chapter. I did let Harmony wraggle her way into the story one last time. She's not my favorite character. I tried not to bash the poor girl, but maybe a beta could help fix it so its a little nicer. I have to thank her for making the story a little more fun and exciting than what I had planned.
I am hoping to be able to have the last chapter done by Thursday. My husband has the day off tomorrow to work on our home business, but we did plan to spend some time together. He always comes before Spike.
My husband's a little younger, by three years, his eyes are more blue and his hair is naturally blond. They are about the same height, but I'm the same height as SMG, so I still have to look up to him. He tolerates my obsession of all things James, but he always comes first.

No progress
Well I thought that I would have my current story finished today. I don't think that's going to happen. It was the first day of school for my kids yesterday. I have 5 kids and 3 of them are school age. They were so excited that they couldn't sleep. So the time I usually spend writing was spent with my kids.
My other problem is that I had things planned out a certain way, but one of the characters keeps imposing themselves into the story in my mind. They want back into the story and they want to cause some mischief. It will make for some fun, but it will also make the story a little longer.
I wonder if that happens to other writers? Where a story just comes alive in the mind to the point that the characters just take over and do whatever the hell they want.. Maybe that's how Joss felt when Spike became so popular with the fans that he had to continue with him.
So now I'm procrastinating. Because I'm going to have to work out the details of this character getting by people and past a locked door.

Getting Some Where
I have 16 of 18 chapters written for my Buffy the Vampire and Angel: the Series fan fiction. It will be complete by this Tuesday.
I am currently searching for a couple of betas. I'd like to have at least two betas. I have email requests out now and I'm just waiting to hear back.
I have run each chapter through spell checkers and I've reread and fixed mistakes on the first four chapters.
As soon as a chapter comes back from betas, I will post it here. I doubt any one is reading this yet, but if someone stumbles on this and would know a good place to post my fiction, please feel free to write to me and let me know. Or if you'd be willing to beta.
My story centers around Spike and is set after both series have ended. Many characters will make appearances.
I'll end by saying that I am having so much fun writing this fiction. I can't say if anyone else will enjoy it, but I know I do.
