I need movie recs.

I am in the mood to watch some movies.  I hate movie theaters and never go, so I only watch movies that we buy or rent.  In the past ten years, I know I have missed some very good movies.  With small children in the home, we rarely brought things in the house that we wouldn't want them to see. 

So tell me what movies you think should not be missed.  In the cut, I put together a list of movies off the top of my head that I really loved.

I have seen all of the Pirates of the Caribbean, Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter movies.  They were good, but I wouldn't put them on my favorites list.  I recently saw the newer version of Dracula with W. Ryder and the Pride and Prejudice with the girl from Pirates.  I disliked both.  I didn't even finish watching Dracula. 

I'm open to all recs in any genre.  Even old black and white movies.  I just recently got into watching those.  I haven't even seen Casablanca yet.  I'll take one movie or a long list.  I'm going to get a list together and keep it for when I'm renting.
